Kids having fun and the big game is on

I just wanted to post a few pictures of the kids having fun this week. Nothing really new has happened this week. The kids were having a blast using their blankets as capes and running around as super heroes. They are so much fun.

However, I can't log off this week until we get a shot in for the Huge game this weekend. This could be the biggest game in the Holy War ever! A BCS birth is on the line. Go Cougs!! Harline and Collie are still open.

...And they are broken!

Well, for the second time in my life I have broken a bone on my body. I finally had to go to the doctor in regards to my fingers that I hurt last weekend. I broke 4 bones in my two middle fingers on my right hand. I never realized how much I use those fingers...everything is much more difficult. Try shaving sometime with your non dominant hand and you will understand how difficult it is to function without using your dominant hand. Everybody at work has been having a bit of fun at my expense as no one can read anything I write and my signature is pathetic. Oh well, at least it only takes a few weeks for the fingers to heal.

Today, we all woke up and were getting ready for church when Tyson Trevor, and me all got sick. Pour Lacey had to deal with three of us all having stomach issues at the same time. Trevor decided that he wanted to see what it would look like if he did some finger painting!!! Totally disgusting! It was everywhere. I was going to post some pictures, but decided that it was not what anybody wants to see. Let's just leave it at disgusting.

I also think that it is appropriate to make mention of the monumental changes that will be taking place over the next few years as we move with a new president into an era of change. And while I think the changes that will happen are somewhat scary, I am interested to see how we as Americans respond to those changes. On an interesting side note, Proposition 8 was passed in California. A huge win for the sanctity of marriage and the family.

Until next week, go Cougs!

Elephants, superheroes and bashed up fingers

So, this year for Halloween the kids dressed up as Batman and an elephant. Originally, Tyson was going to be a puppy, but all of his friends were going to be superheroes. At the last minute we were able to dig up a pretty good Batman out fit from Lacey's friend. It worked out perfect. Trevor's little elephant costume was too funny. He loved it. We had him doing this little elephant dance that we caught on film, but I haven't figured out how to add it yet. I will add it as soon as I figure out how.

Trevor as an elephant. He was so cute.

Tyson as his favorite superhero...for this week anyway. We had a lot of fun this year, and the kids loaded up on candy. I think we will have enough candy to last us all year and then some. Trevor also had a good time handing candy out to the kids that came to our house. He kept trying to dump the whole bowl into the bags of the kids coming to the door. It was funny. Our kids are so much fun.
Tyson has finally learned to ride a bike on his own. It was awesome when he finally just decided to let go and trust himself. He now has a lot more freedom and confidence. I am very pleased with him. I guess all it takes is for a kid to decide he's ready.
I went and played flag football with some friends from the neighborhood on Saturday morning. It was a blast, but I dislocated my two middle fingers on my right hand. They are now the size of overcooked hotdogs. It makes is very difficult to type. Thus, the post this week is very short and taking a whole lot longer than normal.
The cougars won in a nailbiter and still moved up the polls. Until next time...go cougs!
