Wow! what a whirlwind tour

Well, the traveling is finally over for the year. In the last 2 months we have been to Arizona, Las Vegas, Pocatello a couple of times, and we are finally settled back into real life in Twin. The last couple of months were crazy! We spent more time on the road than we did at home. I am so glad we are finally back home to stay for a while.

We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving which was actually quite enjoyable; everything but the drive anyway. That drive is way too long. It takes about 17 hours when you are towing kids with you. Any of you that have kids understands exactly what I am talking about. I love 'em though. The highlight of that trip was when Lacey found a sale on shoes from some brand name outlet; she got 12 pairs of new high heels for like 30 dollars. She was very excited. She loves to accesorize now; whatever that means.

We then drove to Las Vegas for the Vegas Bowl. This was the worst trip in the history of trips. I caught the flu just before we left, but I was not going to miss the BYU game...what a mistake that was! So, we drive to Vegas through a blizzard and it takes 3 hours longer than it should have. We get there just in time for Lacey to get sick. I can think of nothing worse than being sick in a hotel room...I am pretty sure Lace would agree. I won't even go into how pathetic the bowl game was. Sufficeth to say that I was in the middle of the University of Arizona booster club section...I got beer thrown on me and BYU lost!!! I will never attend another bowl game; unless it is a BCS game in which case I will make an exception:) Then we drove home through a blizzard. It was awful.

Christmas was a blast. Kids are so dang fun!! I think Christmas without little kids would be very boring. Trevor was absolutely hillarious! He could have gotten a cardboard box and he would have been good to go. He learned how to say "Sata, ho, ho, ho" He would run around the house saying this to anybody that would listen. I don't think he was very happy when grandpa Nield put the train away, though.

Tyson was fun too! He was so excited to get a new bike. I just felt bad for him because the snow prevented him from riding it. He is growing up so fast.

Lacey was also sick over New Years, so it was very uneventful. We had a very quiet night. It was actually pretty good to get some sleep. It also gave me a chance to reflect on the past year. We have been extremely blessed this past year. I know the Lord has provided for us. I look forward to what 2009 has in store for us.
